Information Systems
D. H. Evans Associates is dedicated to bringing state-of-the-art information to our clients. D. H. Evans Associates’ computer system functions in a LINUX based multiple operating environment. Our claims management uses the (ECI) Eldorado Software. Our state-of-the-art system fully integrates administration and claims systems. ECI Health Care Benefit Management software facilitates the management and processing of case management, claims repricing, auto adjudication, billing and administration information.
All critical server systems at DHE are running on Poweredge servers utilizing Raid 5 disk redundancy technology, multiple power supplies, and the newest software and monitoring tools.
All server systems are powered by a fully automated on-line power back-up system. This UPS system not only provides power in the event of an outage, but it regulates voltage, power spikes and drops, as well as temperature and system monitoring.
We employ a 2 phase daily backup process on top of the Raid 5 data security on each server. All servers run live backups to a storage array on the local network. This makes for faster data recovery should a system fail. All data from the local storage array is then copied to a secure portable media device and taken off site on a daily basis.
In the event of a site-wide disaster, DHE has agreements with hardware and software vendors to replace critical systems within a 24-48 hour period. DHE As can be operational with phone and data systems at an alternate location within that same time-frame.
System Security
DHE takes pride in its privacy and HIPAA compliance program. All of our servers are secure and all computers are password protected. We operate in a “paperless office” environment and virtually all inner-office communication is done electronically through our proprietary Imaging Workflow System (IWS), which greatly reduces the possibility of lost or misused information. All employees are required to encrypt e-mails containing sensitive information, and can also password protect any sensitive files, if necessary.
Internet Accessibility
Our clients are able to access application and critical information. Our software is designed to offer immediate Web delivery of any application without rewrites or client installation. Remote users have access at broadband speeds with optimal network performance. User applications are delivered immediately, even over low-bandwidth connections, via Adaptive Internet Protocol (AIP) technology. This innovative technology optimizes connection performance with zero disruption. We maintain information security by establishing centralized control per HIPAA Standards. Specified users gain only limited access to information through our single point of control specifications. Real-time access to claims, benefits, accumulator, eligibility, and more are available on-line to members and client personnel.
Web-Based Reporting
Our Web capabilities enable users to access reports using an Internet Browser. This innovative architecture provides access to develop reports. Accessibility to reports can be on a “view only” basis or by actually running previously developed reports. This system also allows the end user to adapt, customize and query reports without jeopardizing data, report accuracy or consistency. We know that reporting is vital in today’s business world. Our reporting features will help you know your benefits expenditures and trends so you can make sound decisions.
